Are you CQC registered?

Yes, we are CQC registered and you can find our updated status here. The CQC monitors, inspects and regulates healthcare providers to ensure they meet strict standards of safety, quality, and care. This includes medical aesthetic clinics that carry out regulated medical activities, such as treatments involving prescription only medicines or certain advanced procedures.
CQC registration sets a medical aesthetic clinic apart because it demonstrates medical legitimacy, accountability, and patient-first care.
Here’s why it’s important:
-
Higher standards of patient safety CQC registered clinics must follow robust clinical governance, infection control, safeguarding, and risk management protocols, far beyond basic cosmetic regulations.
-
Proper medical oversight
-
Registration confirms that treatments are delivered under appropriate medical leadership, with qualified professionals, clear prescribing pathways, and emergency procedures in place.
-
Accountability and transparency
-
CQC clinics are inspected and held accountable. If standards drop, action is taken. Clinics without CQC registration are not subject to this level of independent oversight.
-
Ethical and regulated practice

Lorenzo's academic, teaching and research roles - Bologna University, Italian Medical Society of Great Britain, Kings College London University

Where do you source the products used in clinic and sold to patients from?
We purchase all of our products used in clinic, or skincare sold to our patients from approved and licensed pharmacists (Church Pharmacy & Health Xchange Pharmacy) and direct from the approved distributor or direct from the company when considering skincare (SkinCeuticals, Meder, SkinBetter Science, ZO, Obagi, Reform Skincare, Epionce, Totally Derma, Advanced Nutrition Programme...)

Will I look natural?
At SE1 Medical Aesthetics, our ethos is clear and simple to understand, we only wish our patients to leave clinic looking completely natural, a refreshed, rejuvenated and hydrated version of themselves at their age. We do not endorse trying to match unrealistic expectations. We are PRO-AGE champions, ageing is a privilege and we are here to offer our patients only the best in safe and natural options with a focus on regenerative medicine, rather than traditional 'fillers.'

Which treatment is right for me?
The first time you book an appointment with one of our expert aesthetic doctors, you will realise that this appointment is titled a 'New Consultation.' You cannot book directly for a specific treatment as we are regulated by the CQC and the GMC and we are firm believers in ethical and expert led practice. Only after carrying out a thorough consultation can it be decided what your treatment plan may be, or, if in fact you are even the correct candidate for treatment, based on an overall health & mental health assessment. The doctor will take time to discuss your goals and analyse your anatomy and skin condition. You can then have treatment same day if it is deemed safe by the doctor carrying out your consultation.
YOU DO NOT REQUIRE A PRIOR CONSULTATION FOR FACIALS

Are aesthetic treatments safe?

When performed by trained medical professionals using approved products, aesthetic treatments are considered safe. As with any medical procedure, there are potential risks, which will be discussed during your consultation.

How do I book a specific treatment as you don't have them listed on your online booking page?

We run a booking system that allows you to book very few doctor led services directly, these being only Morpheus8, microneedling over 0.75mm & Lumecca IPL. For every other injectable treatment with our doctors, you can book either a 'New patient consultation with an aesthetic doctor' or a 'Return patient treatment appointment with an aesthetic doctor.' This is because we believe that for our injectable treatments, every patient should have a prior consultation which includes a health assessment and also an opportunity for the doctor to manage the patient's expectations - is the choice of treatment suitable for that patient?
New patients always have a thorough consultation and can then have same day treatment, if deemed safe and appropriate by their doctor.
Return patients book an hour slot with the aesthetic doctor, they mention the treatment/s they would like to be considered for during that appointment during the booking process so that their doctor is aware.
Every patient is different. A consultation allows us to assess your suitability, understand your goals, discuss options, and create a personalised treatment plan that’s safe, appropriate, and delivers the best results. This ensures you receive the right treatment, not just a booked one.
YOU DO NOT REQUIRE A CONSULTATION PRIOR TO A FACIAL

Do you carry out any medical procedures other than cosmetic services?

Yes. In addition to cosmetic treatments, we offer a range of primary healthcare medical services provided by qualified clinicians.
These include GP consultations, health assessments, and medical evaluations, with clear pathways for diagnostics such as blood tests and imaging, as well as evidencebased treatment and referral where needed. Our focus is on identifying the cause of your concern, supporting effective treatment, and guiding you toward the best possible health outcome.
If you’re unsure whether your concern is medical or cosmetic, our team is happy to advise and ensure you’re seen by the appropriate clinician.

You have 2 clinic locations, which clinic is for which type of booking please?

Due to differing licensing arrangements across our two locations, medical services governed by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) are provided exclusively at our Bermondsey Street clinic. As a result, only this location is authorised to deliver regulated medical care. Mill Street is therefore where we are currently carrying out our 'non-medical' services.

Why is SE1 Medical considered to be the best clinic in London to have InMode Morpheus8 & Lumecca IPL treatments?
Only our team of expert aesthetic doctors carry out these treatments. Dr Lorenzo Garagnani, SE1 Medical Director is an advanced trainer for InMode on both of these devices, training practitioners from all over the globe. This, combined with our doctors' expert knowledge, understanding of anatomy with regards to the media reports of practitioners causing patient's to have 'fat-loss' and differing anaesthetic options to manage pain, rates us the best clinic option in London.

The two biggest perceived problems with Morpheus8 are:

-
Pain and downtime – Even with numbing cream, treatments can be uncomfortable, especially on sensitive areas like the jawline. After the procedure, patients may experience redness, swelling, bruising, or tiny grid marks that can last several days, which may be inconvenient for those seeking minimal downtime. AT SE1 MEDICAL WE PROVIDE A THOROUGH CONSULTATION PRIOR TO YOUR TREATMENT AND UNLIKE MANY CLINICS, WE ALSO OFFER NERVE BLOCKS FOR THOSE WHO FEEL NUMBING CREAM MAY NOT BE SUFFICIENT FOR THEIR PERSONAL PAIN THRESHOLD. YOU DO NOT REQUIRE A CONSULTATION FOR A FACIAL THOUGH!
-
Media reports about unintended fat loss – Some media and social posts have claimed that Morpheus8 causes excessive fat loss in areas where it’s not desired. In reality, when the treatment is planned and delivered by experienced clinicians with appropriate energy settings and depth, unintended fat loss is rare. Proper consultation and conservative treatment planning help minimise this risk. OUR TEAM OF AESTHETIC DOCTORS THOROUGHLY ASSESS YOUR ANATOMY AND GOALS BEFORE CARRYING OUT THIS TREATMENT. THEY ARE HIGHLY SKILLED IN UNDERSTANDING THE BOUNDARIES WITH REGARDS TO THE FREQUENCY USED, AND, THE DEPTH OF NEEDLES FOR EACH SPECIFIC AREA OF THE FACE OR BODY BEING TREATED. OUR PATIENTS ARE EXTREMELY HAPPY WITH THEIR RESULTS AS THEIR EXPECTATIONS AND COMFORT LEVELS HAVE BEEN MET PRIOR TO TREATMENT.

Are you the first clinic in the UK to offer Seffiline® - Seffiller® & Seffihair® and what is unique about it?

SE1 Medical is the first clinic in the UK to offer Seffiline® (Seffihair® & Seffifiller®), every new clinic that starts to offer this great treatment option has been trained our Medical Director, Lorenzo Garagnani! He hosts a monthly academy training doctors in this advanced regenerative medicine procedure.

Seffiline® is an advanced regenerative aesthetic treatment that uses your body’s own fat derived stem cells and growth factors to naturally rejuvenate skin and stimulate hair growth. It is a clinically developed protocol that includes two specialised treatments:
-
Seffihair® – for hair restoration and scalp regeneration
-
Seffifiller® – for facial smoothing and skin rejuvenation

Unlike traditional dermal fillers or synthetic hair treatments, Seffiline® works by harnessing your own regenerative cells to stimulate collagen production, improve tissue quality, and restore volume naturally.
At SE1 Medical, we are proud to be the first clinic in the UK to offer Seffiline® treatments, bringing this cutting edge regenerative solution to patients seeking natural, long lasting results.

How Does Seffiline Work?
Seffiline® uses a small amount of your own adipose (fat) tissue, usually taken from the outer thigh. This fat contains regenerative cells, including stromal vascular fraction (SVF) and growth factors that promote tissue repair and regeneration.
The process involves:
-
A gentle local anaesthetic procedure to harvest a small amount of fat
-
Processing the tissue using a specialised filtration system
-
Re-injecting the purified regenerative component into the scalp (Seffihair®) or face (Seffifiller®)
Because the treatment uses your own cells, there is:
-
No synthetic filler material
-
Minimal risk of allergic reaction
-
A highly natural looking outcome

What Is Seffihair®?
Seffihair® is a regenerative hair restoration treatment designed to:
-
Improve hair density
-
Stimulate dormant hair follicles
-
Strengthen thinning hair
-
Improve scalp health
It is particularly effective for:
-
Early-stage male and female pattern hair loss
-
Postpartum hair thinning
-
Hair thinning due to stress or hormonal changes
Rather than masking hair loss, Seffihair® addresses the underlying biological environment of the scalp, helping to reactivate and support natural hair growth.

What Is Seffifiller®?
Seffifiller® is a natural alternative to traditional dermal fillers or bio-stimulants. It smooths lines and improves skin quality by using your body’s own regenerative cells.
Seffifiller® can treat:
-
Tear troughs
-
Cheeks and mid-face
-
Nasolabial folds
-
Jawline contour
-
Skin thinning and crepey skin

Results develop gradually as collagen production increases, creating subtle, refreshed, and long lasting rejuvenation.
Why Is Seffiline®So Effective?
Seffiline® is considered one of the most advanced regenerative aesthetic treatments available because it:
1. Stimulates Natural Regeneration
It activates your body’s own repair mechanisms rather than simply adding volume.
2. Provides Long Lasting Results
Because the treatment improves tissue quality, results can last significantly longer than traditional fillers.
3. Is Biocompatible and Safe
Using your own tissue reduces the risk of rejection, migration, or allergic reaction.
4. Improves Skin Quality, Not Just Volume
Patients notice improved texture, elasticity, and radiance.
5. Offers Dual Benefits
It can be used for both facial rejuvenation (Seffifiller®) and hair restoration (Seffihair®).
Who Is Suitable for Seffiline®?
Seffiline® is ideal for patients who:

-
Want a natural alternative to synthetic fillers
-
Prefer regenerative, biologically driven treatments
-
Have mild to moderate hair thinning
-
Are noticing early signs of ageing
-
Want subtle, long term improvement rather than instant but temporary correction
A full medical consultation at SE1 Medical ensures suitability and a personalised treatment plan.

Why Choose SE1 Medical for Seffiline®?

-
Expert led medical aesthetic team
-
Advanced regenerative treatment protocols
-
Comprehensive consultation and aftercare
-

How do I know whether to choose Profhilo treatment, or Hydro Deluxe skin booster treatment & what is the difference

1. What they’re made of (this is the biggest difference)
Profhilo
-
Pure high concentration hyaluronic acid (HA) only
-
No added vitamins, amino acids, etc.
-
Uses a special HA complex that spreads under the skin
-
Focus is bio-remodelling & hydration
Hydro Deluxe (Neauvia)
-
Lower dose HA plus extra ingredients, including Amino acids (e.g. glycine, proline) & Calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA)
-
These act as building blocks for collagen
-
Focus: skin repair & collagen support
2. How they work
Profhilo
-
Spreads widely under the skinStimulates fibroblasts → collagen plus elastin
-
Strong hydration plus subtle tightening
-
Think: overall skin quality, glow, mild lift
Hydro Deluxe
-
Works more like mesotherapy / skin booster
-
Ingredients actively feed collagen production
-
CaHA gives extra stimulation plus structure
-
Think: skin repair plus texture plus fine lines
3. Results you can expect
Profhilo
-
Very noticeable hydration (“glass skin” look)
-
Mild tightening / firmness
-
Best for: Crepey skin, early sagging, dullness
-
More of a “polish and plump” effect
Hydro Deluxe
-
Better for: Fine lines, skin damage / thinning, under-eye or fragile areas
-
Results build gradually as collagen improves
-
More of a “repair and rebuild” effect
4. Treatment style
Profhilo
-
2 sessions (standard) - £300 each session
-
5 injection points
Hydro Deluxe
-
Usually multiple micro injections
-
2 sessions (standard), again £300 each
Honest comparison (this is the key takeaway)
Profhilo - hydration-first, collagen second
Hydro Deluxe - collagen support plus targeted skin improvement
Simple way to choose:
If your skin is: Dull, slightly sagging, dehydrated opt for Profhilo
If your skin is: Thinner, lined, damaged, or crepey opt for Hydro DeluxeTake (based on how these behave clinically)
Profhilo gives faster visible glow, Hydro Deluxe gives more “treatment” effect over time

Are you the first clinic in the uk to offer Erelle CMC bio-scaffold filler and what is it?

SE1 Medical Aesthetics London is the first clinic in the UK to stock Erelle Volume and Revital. We are also the official training centre for all Hyalure products, including Erelle. Dr Lorenzo Garagnani is the UK trainer for Hyalure and their Key Opinion Leader. He has published a series of cases using the Erelle range and has presented at these at the 2025 AMWC meeting in Thailand and at SIME 2026 in Rome, most notably his B-FAB dual layer, anatomically based hand rejuvenation techniques.

Erelle Volume and Erelle Revital are two different products within the Erelle CMC range, both based on cross-linked carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) rather than hyaluronic acid (HA). They are designed for different purposes.

Erelle Volume
This is the volumising cellulose filler in the range.
Main uses
-
Restoring volume in the cheeks, chin, jawline and mid-face.
-
Facial contouring and structural support.
-
Treating deeper folds and volume loss.

Benefits
-
Designed to provide significant lift and projection.
-
Typically produces less swelling than some traditional fillers.
-
Results are reported to last around 9–18 months.
-
The manufacturer claims less product may be needed because of CMC's tissue-supporting properties.

Erelle Revital
This is more of a skin revitaliser/biostimulator than a traditional volumising cellulose filler.
Main uses
-
Improving skin hydration.
-
Enhancing elasticity and firmness.
-
Improving skin texture.
-
Treating ageing skin, crepey skin and some scar types.
-
Commonly used on the face, neck, décolletage and hands.

Benefits
-
Skin quality improvement rather than dramatic volume.
-
Better hydration and radiance.
-
Increased firmness and elasticity.
-
Natural-looking rejuvenation with little risk of an overfilled appearance.

One of the most interesting potential advantages of Erelle CMC is the way it can be reversed.
With traditional hyaluronic acid fillers, the dissolving agent is hyaluronidase. While hyaluronidase is very effective at breaking down unwanted HA filler, it does not distinguish perfectly between injected filler and the body's own naturally occurring hyaluronic acid. As a result, it can temporarily reduce some of the skin's natural HA in the treated area, which may lead to a period of reduced hydration or volume until the body replenishes it.

Erelle CMC is designed to be dissolved using cellulase, an enzyme that targets the carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) structure of the filler. Because cellulase acts on cellulose-derived materials rather than hyaluronic acid, it is not expected to break down the body's natural HA.

Potential benefits of this approach include:
-
Selective dissolution – the enzyme is intended to target the CMC filler without affecting the skin's naturally occurring hyaluronic acid.
-
Preservation of natural tissue hydration – because the body's own HA is not being degraded, skin hydration and tissue quality may be less affected during the reversal process.
-
More precise correction – theoretically, practitioners may be able to remove the filler while leaving surrounding HA-rich tissues unchanged.
-
Reduced concern about post-dissolving volume loss – patients sometimes worry that dissolving HA fillers can leave an area looking flatter than before treatment. A cellulase-based approach aims to remove the filler itself without depleting endogenous HA.

For patients who have previously experienced extensive hyaluronidase treatment, this distinction can be particularly appealing. The concept is that the reversal agent is directed at the filler material rather than a substance naturally present throughout the skin.
