A huge SE1 welcome to the latest edition to our wonderful team, Dr Sophie Bracke, MMBS (Hons) BSc (Hons) - NHS Obstetrics & Gynaecology Doctor & Advanced Aesthetics Doctor.
Dr Sophie graduated from University College London medical school, and following her foundation training, was awarded with a post onto the highly competitive specialty training programme in Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
Training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology has equipped her with a high level of surgical precision, attention to detail, excellent anatomical understanding, and a sharp focus on providing safe and effective results. She enjoys applying this skillset to medical aesthetics, and uses her training in advanced injectable techniques to deliver results that elevate a patient’s natural beauty and instil true confidence.
Outside of aesthetics and surgical training, Sophie has been awarded with numerous accolades including multiple publications in world-leading academic journals, winning international academic prizes and two hospital leadership awards, and being a member of the editorial board of a BMJ journal. Sophie also speaks fluent Dutch and French as well as English!
Our next round of applause is for Dr Lorenzo as he has been appointed as Scientific Director of SEASON (Science Enhanced Anatomy Safety Outcomes Network).
This is a big deal! SEASON is a non-commercialised scientific exchange that has the mission of advancing procedural safety and outcomes in aesthetic medicine, identifying unmet needs in research and development, and fostering responsible media reporting in aesthetics. Their aim is to offer training and education that are worthy of this with a stellar global faculty with academic and scientific priorities who will catalyse an unsurpassed, interactive agenda of learning and sharing with no hidden commercial conflicts of interest.
In a world where we recently saw a non-medical aesthetics business advertising their IV infusion drip treatments as able to 'treat autism and prevent cancer,' what better time for our clinic to be led by such a pillar of the scientific community!
