- Hyaluronic acid
- 50 mg per 2 ml syringe (25 mg/ml, 2.5%)
- Dual molecular weight HA

- Nine amino acids
- 1.33–1.43% of the formula
- Glycine, proline & lysine
- Amino acids involved in collagen synthesis
- Serine, alanine & cysteine
- Support protein synthesis and cellular processes; cysteine is an antioxidant
- Leucine, isoleucine & valine
- Essential amino acids involved in protein metabolism
Key skin benefits
Six ways it supports your skin.
01
Intensive, long-lasting hydration
The high concentration of hyaluronic acid helps the skin hold on to water, improving hydration, suppleness and the look of fine dehydration lines.
02
Collagen and elastin support
The amino acid complex provides building blocks involved in making collagen and elastin. Italfarmacia states the formula stimulates collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid production; how much new collagen is down to Skin Hydropower® alone has not yet been established in independent clinical trials.
03
Elasticity and firmness
By improving hydration and supporting the skin’s environment, the treatment may help skin look firmer, smoother and more resilient.
04
Smoother texture
Particularly relevant for dry, rough or crepey skin. Better hydration can help soften superficial lines for a smoother appearance.
05
Radiance and luminosity
Hydrated skin can look fresher, plumper and more luminous – without the volumising effect of a conventional dermal filler.
06
Support for menopausal skin
It may suit patients noticing declining skin hydration, elasticity and quality during perimenopause and menopause.
Who it’s ideal for
Smoother, more supple, luminous skin.
Ideal for patients seeking smoother, more supple and luminous skin, particularly where dehydration, crepiness and early signs of ageing are a concern.
- Dehydrated, dull or tired-looking skin
- Dry, rough or crepey texture
- Fine lines and early signs of ageing
- Reduced elasticity and firmness
- Skin changes during perimenopause and menopause

FAQs
Skin Hydropower®, answered.
What is Skin Hydropower®?+
Skin Hydropower® by Italfarmacia is an injectable skin treatment that combines a high concentration of hyaluronic acid (2.5%, in two molecular weights) with nine amino acids, to target dehydration, reduced elasticity and visible signs of ageing. Italfarmacia describes it as a dermal biostimulant with intense hydrating action.
How is it different from other skin boosters?+
Many skin boosters contain hyaluronic acid alone. Skin Hydropower® adds nine amino acids, including glycine, proline and lysine, which are involved in making collagen and other structural skin proteins.
How much does it cost and how many sessions will I need?+
Skin Hydropower® is £250 per session. A course of three sessions is needed, spaced 2–4 weeks apart.
Will it add volume like a filler?+
No. It is designed to improve skin quality – hydration, texture and radiance – rather than add volume or change facial shape, so results look natural.
Are there any side effects?+
As with any injectable hyaluronic acid treatment, possible side effects include bruising, swelling and tenderness at the injection points, and, rarely, infection, nodules or vascular complications. Your practitioner will go through these with you at your consultation.
Is Skin Hydropower® or Celora™ Vita better for me?+
Both combine hyaluronic acid with amino acids to improve skin quality, and both are £250 per session. Your practitioner will recommend the right one for your skin at your consultation.
